Rita Maria Taylor 

June 17, 1937 - October 24, 2019 Fa 

Predeceased by her parents Ralph and Victoria Borelli, born in Fernie, B.C., 

Rita moved to Vancouver in 1941, and lived most of her life in Vancouver, 

Burnaby, and Coquitlam. After a lengthy and courageous battle with 

lung cancer, Rita passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 

82, on Thursday, October 24, 2019, surrounded by the love of her family. 

Sadly, she left behind her loving husband Denny after 62 years of marriage, daughters 

Laurie (Danny), and Leslie (Joey), brother Rick (Arlene), son-in-law Al, 5 grandchildren 

(Christopher, Kevin, Abby, Nicholas, Nathan), and 6 great-grandchildren. 

She will be truly missed by her family, by her bridge friends, and by many members 

of the Pitt Meadows Golf Club where she was an active member for over 25 years. 

Special thanks to Dr. Julia Reynolds for over 30 years of care and compassion. 

And much appreciation to the Fraser Health for all their at-home support. 

A Celebration of Life will be held for Rita on Friday, March 6, 2020 1:00pm at Pitt Meadows Golf Club. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation.
