Harry Webster (Gladstone Secondary Class of 1954)

Our good friend, chief reunion enthusiast, and semi-pro Malt Whiskey sampler, Harry Webster,
has passed away on Vancouver Island on July 29th, 2017. He will be buried at sea by the
Canadian Navy as befits his 22 years in their service.
Harry was famous for his constant touring of B.C. on his motorcycle to visit all his friends from
Tecumseh and Gladstone school days and to encourage them to attend the next Gladstone
reunion. If he couldn’t visit them he would phone them. And on Vancouver Island where he
lived he made certain that our retired teachers Mr. Millar McGill and Mr. Archie Macaulay
would have someone to talk to and do a little sampling.
His enthusiasm for life, his family, and his friends was unique and he will be missed. Harry
leaves his dear wife, Anne, favourite son Gordon and daughter-in-law Dawn.

Harry A. Webster (March 10, 1936 - July 29, 2017)

Harry Alexander Webster, born March 10, 1936 passed away quietly July 29,
2017. He will be missed by his wife Anne Webster, son Gord Webster, daughterin-
law Dawn Webster and many friends and cousins. He was very proud of his
navy service. The many friendships he made in those years and subsequently
through his volunteer work with Chief's & Petty Officers Association were a big
part of his life. As in life we're sure he's riding his motorcycle through heaven's
gates. With the assistance of the Navy he'll be taking one last voyage to sea. For
those who like him enjoyed a wee dram, next time you pour your favorite, join
us in toasting him fair voyage.
