Alan Coghill

Alan George Coghill passed away peacefully in Arlington, WA on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the age of 77 with family at his side.
He was born in Vancouver, B.C. on October 27, 1936 to Donald George and Margaret (Angus) Coghill.
He graduated from Gladstone High School in 1954, and attended WWU graduating in 1962.
He and Nina Nicholson Marshall were married September 11, 1959. Alan taught High School in the
Arlington School District for thirty years. In addition, he coached soccer, football, track and field, and taught
Drivers Education while he and his wife raised their three sons.
He was a longtime supporter of youth soccer and participated in adult soccer leagues resulting in trips to the
British Isles. He was also an avid golfer and member of Cedarcrest Golf Club.
Alan is lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Nina; their three sons,
Mark Alan (wife, Anita; and son, TJ),
Kevin James (wife, Lisa; and sons, Rory, Toran; and daughter, Renna Jean),
Donald Charles (wife, Erika and sons, Alex and Nick); and his sister, Donna Street (husband, Ken); and three nieces.
The family would like to thank the staff at Emerald Cottage in Arlington, WA. Memorials can be made to the Arlington Boys & Girls Club or Alzheimer's Foundation.
